Warroad, MN – June 5th, 2020 – Raptor Performance Shocks (RaptorShocks.com), a leading Minnesota-based supplier of performance suspension products for such noted snowmobile brands as Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha, announced today the expansion of a new truck suspension division. The introduction of the RPS Suspension branding brings with it the new flagship Patriot 2.2 Series shock absorbers and a variety of billet lift components for major truck brands such as Ford, Chevrolet, Ram and Toyota. The move further increases Raptor Performance Shocks’ footprint in the aftermarket suspension market.

“The move to expand our truck division was important for many reasons. We’re continually looking at opportunities to grow the company and, in 2018, we broke into the heavy duty truck suspension market when we began working with Kelderman Suspension,” says Anderson. “That partnership with a leading brand, that is synonymous with heavy duty trucks, has helped us to see how much potential room there is for growth in adjacent markets.”

“We’ve used five different shock manufacturers over the years and nothing has given us the ride quality of the RPS shocks,” states Jeff Kelderman, vice president of Kelderman Manufacturing. “These shocks have allowed us to take our Kelderman Air Ride to another level!”

The new Patriot 2.2 Series shock absorbers are 2.2” bodied shocks that incorporate existing Raptor Shocks technology. “We’re known in the snowmobile industry for having the best riding shocks available on the market today,” notes Anderson. “Our vision was to bring some of our existing tech and suspension tuning experience to the truck market, manufacturing truck suspension products with unrivaled ride quality, unmatched corrosion resistance characteristics and customer service that goes above and beyond.”

With the addition to the RPS Suspension Patriot 2.2 Series shock absorbers, suspension options will also be available for many popular current ½ ton vehicles such as the Ford F-150 and the Chevy Silverado, as well as the RAM 1500. Raptor is also releasing a series of billet leveling lifts for ½ ton truck models.

“The expansion into the ½ ton market allows us to build on our product offerings to our existing dealer and distributor network and sets Raptor up for substantial growth,” says Anderson. “We’ve got a really great start with a selection of products that allow us to hit the ground running.”

The RPS Suspension products are now available on the Raptor Shocks website and will be available throughout their dealer/distributor network. Product offerings will continue to be added.

Raptor Shock’s encompassing inventory of suspension products includes full snowmobile shock packages, front suspension a-arms, shock service components as well as accessories. “The announcement of the RPS Suspension branding and our Patriot 2.2 Series shock absorbers continues our tradition of providing premium products to enhance vehicle performance in addition to cementing our dedication to our customers’ experience,” concludes Anderson.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: RAPTOR PERFORMANCE SHOCKS ANNOUNCES
SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH BACKCOUNTRY RIDER SAHEN SKINNER.

Warroad, MN – September 6th, 2019 – Raptor Performance
Shocks (RaptorShocks.com), a leading Minnesota-based supplier of performance
suspension products for such noted snowmobile brands as Arctic Cat, Polaris,
Ski-Doo and Yamaha, announced today that they have entered into a sponsorship agreement
with Sahen Skinner, Polaris Factory Sponsored Terrain Dominator.

“Sahen brings a lot of backcountry experience to the table,” says Jake Anderson, owner of Raptor Performance Shocks. “He’s been around our sport for a long time and has built a great guiding business with his brand, SS Freeride.”

Sahen Skinner grew up in western Wyoming in the heart of the
Rocky Mountains. Even at a young age, he was fascinated by anything loud and
fast. Having testing his ability in RMSHA races early on, Sahen realized his
true passion was backcountry riding and he pursued that passion by riding and guiding
for industry expert Chris Burandt of Burandt’s Backcountry Adventures, located
in Colorado.

“We met with Sahen at the Jackson Hole Hillclimbs after we’d heard he was looking at suspension options,” said Anderson. “It didn’t take long to realize that he had a great head on his shoulders and would be a benefit to the Raptor brand.”

From that point, it was only a matter of time for the official
sponsorship agreement to be reached.

“We’ve had many close friends and clients show up to ride that had Raptors on their sleds,” remarked Skinner. “It’s impressive to see the growth of their brand over the last five years. We’re really excited to get our clients on the new Kinetic Series shocks!”

Sahen will be a big part of the Raptor Shocks product
development team as they continue to push the envelope in the snow industry.

“It’s going to be really great to have some of my fleet sleds setup with Raptor suspension components for the coming season,” added Skinner. “Proper suspension setup is incredibly important and their new Kinetic Series snow shocks are made for all types of riding, without compromise.”

Raptor Performance Shocks’ encompassing inventory of
snowmobile enhancement products include full shock packages for all of the most
popular snowmobiles in the mountain riding segment. The company offers full
snowmobile shock packages, shock service components as well as accessories.

“We are proud to say our biggest asset is our profound understanding of vehicle dynamics, along with exceptional design and engineering capabilities,” concludes Anderson. “This partnership with Sahen allows us to showcase ourselves as a provider of premium suspension products to enhance vehicle performance in addition to cementing our dedication to our customers’ experience.”

Warroad, MN – August 16th, 2018 – Raptor Performance Shocks (RaptorShocks.com), a leading Minnesota-based supplier of performance suspension products for such noted snowmobile brands as Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha, announced today the introduction of their Kinetic Series shock absorbers. The Kinetic Series incorporates patent pending internal bypass technology for best in class ride quality and suspension performance.

“This isn’t just another ‘cookie cutter’ shock package. It’s a real game changer and it’s one of those products the industry didn’t even know it needed,” says Anderson. “It’s fun to continually challenge our team here at Raptor and bring game changing products to market.”

The new kinetic Series technology incorporates a patent pending design which allows fluid to bypass around the main valving piston in a given zone. “The main take away for our customers is we now have a shock that we can tune to have unrivaled compliance, as well as epic bottom out resistance,” notes Anderson. “Combined, these characteristics can be very difficult to achieve in conventional shock designs. The V1-RC is a non-compromising design.”

“The Kinetic Series Bypass technology has been in development for the last hand full of years in different configurations,” says Anderson. “Our current V1-RC package has been in the final validation stage of the program for the last several months. We’ve had a handful of key dealers as well as key riders’ white glove our production calibration with excellent feedback”.

Keith Curtis, a native of Montana and the winningest hillclimb racer in the world, was involved in calibration and development of the new Kinetic Series shock absorbers in early 2018. “The new Kinetic shocks really bring compliance and predictability to my sled that I have never experienced before,” says Curtis. “When making my way through old track ruts, over logs, through tree wells or anything in my way, I have confidence that my Raptor shocks will absorb any obstacle. This really allows me to focus on my line and make it to the top.”

Matt Entz, owner of Mountain Skillz and native of southern Colorado, was another rider involved in the final validation of the Kinetic Series for the Polaris Axys RMK vehicles. “I’m 100% confident that Raptor Shocks are the best performing shocks available. But what’s even more impressive is what Jake and his staff have been developing. They are about to set new standards in multiple aspects of snowmobile shocks! Their knowledge and passion is quite impressive,” says Entz.

Raptor Shocks’s Kinetic Series shocks are available for pre-order for a limited selection of snowmobile models as the product is prepped for fall 2018 delivery. Product offerings will be added as calibrations are released for more snowmobile models.

Raptor Shock’s encompassing inventory of suspension products includes full snowmobile shock packages, front suspension a-arms, shock service components as well as accessories. “The announcement of our Kinetic Series shock absorbers continues our tradition of providing premium products to enhance vehicle performance in addition to cementing our dedication to customers’ experience,” concludes Anderson.

For the 2019 snow check Axys RMK, Polaris made a number of new design and geometry changes to the front suspension, along with the addition of the new 850 Patriot engine. The React front suspension includes shorter a-arms, changes to the swaybar, new spindles, and calibration changes with lightweight springs packaged in an adjustable ski stance that ranges from 36” to 38” widths.

We were able to get our hands on some early production vehicles for development and testing to get our new shock packages dialed in. We took full advantage of some awesome late season riding conditions to put that new vehicle through its paces.

What we noticed on the stock setup:
The added power and smoothness of the 850 Patriot engine was clear right away, much like the 850 was on the Skidoo G4 models.

The production shock calibration feels very similar to last year’s calibration with the addition of the new SLS springs. We feel there continues to be significant room for improvement after spending ample time on this vehicle in a variety of situations over a two week time frame.

Ride characteristics of the Raptor Shocks package:
Raptor Shocks has always been known in the industry for their highly progressive, ultra-compliant shock packages. Our multi-rate springs as well as our newly calibrated shocks for 2019 turn a very good vehicle into something pretty amazing.

Taking the time to tune and design shock packages that smooth out the small chatter, yet still have fantastic bottom out resistance over larger events, separates us from the competition. The majority of our customers realize how different the shocks feel within moments of leaving the truck.

Whether you’re riding canyons or drainages, crossing over rutted up tracks can be gnarly on the stock suspension setup. Our shocks are designed to absorb those terrain challenges, reducing effort needed for riding corrections and giving much greater sled predictability. The result at the end of the day is significantly reduced rider fatigue and a much safer, more enjoyable riding experience.

Whether you spend 150 days a year on the snow or 10, the suspension performance difference is immediately noticeable. Our new shock calibrations for the 2019 Axys React front end allow the rider to forget about what’s under the snow and really focus on their chosen line.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: RAPTOR PERFORMANCE SHOCKS ANNOUNCES EXTENDED SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH BACKCOUNTRY RIDER MATT ENTZ. Warroad, MN – May 31st, 2018 – Raptor Performance Shocks (RaptorShocks.com),

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: RAPTOR PERFORMANCE SHOCKS ANNOUNCES EXTENDED SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH BACKCOUNTRY RIDER MATT ENTZ.

Warroad, MN – May 31st, 2018 – Raptor Performance Shocks (RaptorShocks.com), a leading Minnesota-based supplier of performance suspension products for such noted snowmobile brands as Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha, announced today that they have entered into an extended sponsorship agreement with Matt Entz, Polaris Factory Sponsored Terrain Dominator.

“Matt’s athletic ability in the backcountry is second to none and his willingness to pass along those technical skills to his backcountry riding clients makes him an exceptional asset to our sport,” says Jake Anderson, owner of Raptor Performance Shocks.

Matt Entz is a native to southern Colorado and has been enjoying the sport of snowmobiling for 30 years. His wife Jesse and two girls Elly and Ashley have helped Matt run their company Mountain Skillz for six seasons. He is passionate about helping others get the very most out of technical mountain riding while providing avalanche awareness and training for his clients. Matt is also a certified instructor through the American institute for Avalanche Research and Education and has been featured in numerous backcountry films.

“When we heard Matt was looking at suspension options, we knew that all we had to do was get him on our shocks and it would be an easy decision for him,” said Anderson. “We made the trip to Colorado to ride with Matt and his crew a few months ago. After a weekend of riding, testing and tuning, it was clear the direction Matt was headed.”

“They (Raptor Shocks) showed up in Colorado to answer any questions, help with setup, and explain all of the details and features to the shocks. I was immediately impressed with how smooth they were in bumps of all sizes,” recalls Entz. “As our testing continued, my expectations were blown away in all aspects. The biggest benefit for me was seeking out tight and technical lines with no margin for error. The Raptor Shocks soak everything up in a manner that makes the seemingly unpredictable, very predictable. This means more confidence and control in all situations. ALL riders can benefit from that!”

Entz was able to join the Raptor Shocks product development team on a late season Montana test trip for final development of the 2019 Raptor Shocks products for the new Polaris vehicles.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: RAPTOR PERFORMANCE SHOCKS ANNOUNCES EXTENDED SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH KEITH CURTIS.

Warroad, MN – March 15th, 2017 – Raptor Performance Shocks (RaptorShocks.com), a leading Minnesota-based supplier of performance suspension products for such noted snowmobile brands as Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha, announced today that they have entered into an extended sponsorship agreement with Keith Curtis, a Factory Polaris Hillclimb Racer and overall Terrain Dominator.

“We’re excited to welcome Keith into the Raptor family,” says Jake Anderson, owner of Raptor Performance Shocks. “There’s no question that Keith is a phenomenal athlete. He has an exceptional talent for getting every last ounce of performance out of his equipment, be it at a RMSHA event, back country riding or tearing it up on a snowbike. We’ve been working with Keith and his support team for a few weeks testing and tuning to get his suspensions dialed and we’re determined to give him a competitive advantage and keep him at the top of the podium for years to come!”

Keith Curtis raced his first professional Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Hillclimb Association (RMSHA) season in 2007, and joined forces with Polaris Industries in 2008. Since that very first season he has absolutely dominated hillclimb racing. Keith is the top snowmobile hillclimb racer in the world, with a total of 30 World Championship titles, 68 King titles and 178 wins to date.

An early March trip to Lochsa, Idaho for tuning and testing brought renewed confidence to the KC711 crew as well as the Raptor Performance Shocks team.

“After a few days of pounding out a race course, tinkering with suspension, reading data from a computer, and learning a thing or two from Jake and the crew, I finally felt like one with my Modified Sled. I can’t even begin to tell you how much of a relief this was, and I owe it to Jake, Tom, Kurt, Kevin, and JP for all the help and support,” said Keith Curtis.

Keith’s debut on the completely renewed suspension package was a return to his home turf at the Lost Trail Ski Area in Sula, Montana. Keith took home 1st Place in the stock 600, stock 800, stock 1000 and open modified classes. He grabbed a 2nd Place in the 800 modified class as well as stock King of the Hill and Modified King of the Hill.

“Raptor Performance Shocks is now my shock sponsor moving forward. They are in the market to build the best mountain specific aftermarket shock package for all brands, and in my opinion, they have crushed it. Raptor offers a trick shock, with several top of the line features, and technology that keeps them ahead of the game. Jake, the owner is one of the most passionate guys I know in the suspension world and is a suspension wizard,” says Curtis.

“We are proud to say our biggest asset is our profound understanding of vehicle dynamics, along with exceptional design and engineering capabilities,” concludes Anderson. “This partnership with Keith not only allows us to showcase our skills on the race course, but showcases us as a provider of premium products to enhance vehicle performance in addition to cementing our dedication to the customers’ experience.”

Warroad, MN – May 6th, 2015 – Raptor Performance Shocks (RaptorShocks.com), a leading Minnesota-based supplier of performance suspension products for such noted snow sled brands as Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha, announced the introduction of the XM-ACE kit for the Ski-Doo Summit 146, 154, 163 and 174 tracks. The XM-ACE (Advanced Coilover Engineering) geometry was designed to replace what Raptor representatives call “old-school” torsion spring technology with unparalleled coilover performance and a significant four-pound weight reduction. The new kit is being readied for shipment to Raptor dealers and the public.

“The torsion spring technology in the Ski-Doo Summit works well enough, but it can be considered ‘old-school technology’,” says Jake Anderson, owner of Raptor Performance Shocks. “We wanted to engineer a bolt-in kit that would utilize all of the benefits of a coilover shock to give the XM rear suspension more tunability and greater durability, with a tangible weight savings.”

The XM-ACE kit features a billet aluminum rear pivot for strength and durability, and was designed for a 3° by 3° range of motion with an optional lock-out mode to eliminate movement; a Raptor coilover rear track shock with custom valving and spring combinations; a lightweight rear torque arm fabricated of 4130 Chrome Moly tubing and engineered to exhibit excellent strength characteristics as well as an optional Raptor coilover front track shock boasting exceptional adjustability.

“The XM-ACE is a superior product and has exceeded my expectations in every way! Ride quality on my 174 T3 is amazing and with a couple of clicks of the shock, the suspension feels bottomless in the rough!” said one customer. “Raptor’s attention to detail is first class and every single component is ‘eye candy’ with no compromise, that’s for sure.”
